Omolade Allen, PhD, FHEA
Dr Omolade Allen is a Lecturer in Global Health Research, with a deep-rooted passion for social justice and health equity. Her work centres on addressing the unique challenges faced by marginalised women and minority groups, using critical social theory to inform her approach to research and policy development.
Throughout her career, Dr Allen has collaborated with voluntary, community, faith, and social enterprise organisations to co-produce research that fosters collaboration, enhances healthcare access, and improves population health outcomes. Her expertise spans a broad range of public health domains, from maternal and child health to mental health and chronic disease management, always with a focus on ensuring that research findings translate into practical, community-led solutions.
Dr. Allen’s international work has focused on strengthening the health workforce, particularly in rural and under-resourced communities. She is committed to capacity building, supporting the development of sustainable systems that empower local organisations and professionals to better serve their populations.
With her extensive experience in engaging with both community groups and academic institutions, Dr Allen has successfully facilitated participant recruitment, managed ethical considerations, and applied a variety of methodological approaches to ensure that research projects are both robust and meaningful.
